| Meetings are held on the second Thursday of the month October through May at 10:00 a.m. Each meeting has a featured speaker and a horticulture presentation “a show and tell” from one of the members. Refreshments are served. | ||

November 12, 2009 The wonderful world of exotic vegetables with Elaine Farkenson at Cyprus Hall in Coral Springs December 10, 2009 – “Holiday Meeting and Luncheon at Holiday House at Heron Bay Commons in Coral Springs. ”Nature Photography” with our guest speaker, Nature Photographer, Joanne Williams. Lunch amoung the decorated table-top Christmas Trees. Chinese auction, plant exchange and prizes. Donation is $30. Teddy Bear Parade. January 14, 2010 – Field trip to Fern Forest Nature Center in Pompano Beach with private tour and picnic lunch February 11, 2010 at Whole Foods – Program: Organic vs. Natural Foods with Jonny Rose Marcy 11, 2010 – Field trip to Viscaya Museum and Gardens. Private tour and lunch. April 8, 2010 at Member’s home The Art of Bonsai May 13. 2010 - Member’s Recognition Luncheon with presentation of the Future Steward of the Environment Award and Scholarship to a deserving High School Graduate with Raffle and Chinese Auction at Marolas Italian Restaurant 929 University Drive * Coral Springs at 11:30 a.m. Meetings of the 2008-2009 season October 16, 2008 ~ “Dakota Peat” with Eric Disbrow, at Cypus Hall in Coral Springs. Also Nancy Bono from Margate NuTurf will discuss treatments for the ficus whitefly situation and Diana from Omas Garden shows us how to save money and assure that our delivered flower order will be just perfect. |
